BEETTAN’s spray tan solutions are made with naturally derived ingredients and are paraben-free, erythrulose-free, and fragrance-free.

Naturally derived DHA (from sugar beets) is the active ingredient in our spray tan solutions. Aloe vera is another key ingredient that helps extend the life of your tan by 3+ days, providing a longer-lasting, more even-fading sunless tan.

Ingredients:
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Dihydroxyacetone (Sugar Beet), Green Tea Extract, Cetearyl Isononanoate, Decyl Glucoside, Glyceryl Stearate, Glycerin, Ceteareth-12, Cetyl Palmitate, Caramel, Walnut Husk Extract, Cocoa, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C).

Wear loose-fitting clothing to your appointment for the best results. Shower at least 4 hours before your spray tan and avoid applying moisturizer and deodorant.

For the smoothest, most even tan, shave and exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment to allow your pores time to close and help prevent discoloration.

You can dress down to your personal comfort level during your spray tan appointment. Some clients choose to wear a bathing suit, bikini, bra and underwear, or disposable undergarments, while others prefer to wear nothing at all. Our goal is always to make you feel comfortable, relaxed, and confident throughout the process.

For clients under the age of 18, we do require that a bathing suit or similar coverage be worn during the appointment.

Moisturizing is essential for extending the life of your spray tan and ensuring an even, natural fade. Hydrated skin helps your tan last longer, so we recommend avoiding products that contain oils, alcohol, or parabens, which can cause your tan to fade more quickly.

For best results, use our BeetButt Blending Butter daily to keep skin deeply hydrated, and apply our Anti-Aging Self Tanning Daily Booster Lotion to help maintain and refresh your glow. Together, these products nourish the skin and can help extend your tan for up to 14 days.

Once you begin to notice fading, apply the Anti-Aging Self Tanning Daily Booster Lotion to restore and enhance your color.

Your spray tan will fully develop within 8–12 hours, so wait at least 8–12 hours before showering. Do not leave the solution on longer than 24 hours. The longer you leave it on, the deeper your color will develop.

Until your first rinse, avoid all moisture and sweating. This means no showers, workouts, swimming, lotions, cleaning, or liquid foundation on the skin.

When it’s time to rinse:

• Use warm water only 
• Wash gently with your hands 
• Use a mild, natural body wash if needed 
• Avoid scrubbing, hot water, exfoliating products, and bar soap 
• Pat skin dry with a towel — do not rub 

BEETTAN spray tans are designed to look natural without the typical spray tan smell, and they won’t stain your clothes or sheets, so you can comfortably go about your day after your appointment.

Don’t panic!

If your skin gets wet before your first rinse, gently pat the area dry.  Do not rub or wipe. Then, use a makeup sponge to lightly dab the wet area and blend around it to help prevent spotting or unevenness.

If the area still appears lighter after your tan has fully developed and you’ve showered, contact your Certified BEETTAN Professional for a complimentary touch-up. If you’re unable to come in for a touch-up, apply a light layer of our Anti-Aging Self Tanning Booster Lotion to help blend and restore the color.

A doctor knows best: Beettan solution is plant-based and safe, but if there’s ever any question we suggest consulting with your doctor prior to scheduling your spray tan.

Your spray tan will usually take 15–20 minutes, but we allocate a full 30 minutes for each client.
